It has been almost one year since the Women’s March. Since then, we have witnessed constant attacks on our health care, our bodies, our communities, and today, our Internet. And we have not stopped fighting back.
To celebrate our one-year anniversary, Women’s March will hold a mass mobilization in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, we will show this administration that women are not backing down.
From the Women’s March to the Women’s Convention, we’ve seen how powerful we are when we gather together, share space and lift each other up. On January 21, 2018, Women’s March chapters will be doing just that, with anniversary marches, legislative actions, community events and voter registration drives.
At our national anniversary event in Las Vegas, thousands of women, femmes and allies will come together again to launch our collective 2018 Women’s March agenda: Power to the Polls.
Nevada has recent experience with some of the most pressing issues facing women in our nation today, from gun violence to politicians accused of sexual assault. As a swing-state that will shape the Senate in 2018 and as home to a strong activist network, Nevada is the perfect place to commemorate the Women’s March and continue building our electoral power.
This anniversary event will kick-off a national voter registration and mobilization tour targeting swing states to register new voters, engage impacted communities, harness our collective energy to advocate for policies and candidates that reflect our values and collaborate with our partners to elect more women and progressives candidates to office.
